First Lutheran Church Haiti Relief Effort

To date, First Lutheran Disciples have donated $5,335

towards Haiti earthquake relief efforts.  Thank you!

In addition, volunteers from First Lutheran Church recently packaged 24,000 meals to send to Haiti through the "Kids Against Hunger" program.  Special thanks to the First Lutheran Endowment Board for supporting these efforts with a generous gift of $2500.

What can you do to help?

1) Financial Giving: Donors who wish to give financially (in addition to regular church giving), may make a gift to First Lutheran Church with "Haiti" in the memo of a check. With this option, "One hundred percent of your gifts designated to Haiti will be used in this vital response effort".

2) Health Kits: Because of the Haiti disaster, an urgent request for Health Kits has been received. Health kits can help with hygiene and are simple to make. First Lutheran Women want to help and we are asking for help from the congregation. Items needed are hand towels, washcloths, bars of bath body soap, nail clippers with file or metal nail files, toothbrush in wrapping and 1/2-3/4 Band-Aids. A box will be in the fellowship hall and items will be collected in February. Thank you in advance for your donations.
