A Place to Belong .. A place to Become
FIRST TIME VISIT

First Time Visitor

We are glad you have found us on our webpage, and we certainly hope you will also be able to join us in person!   Here are a few details with you, our first time visitor, in mind:

Location:  We moved into a new building in 2006, and now we are located on the very eastern edge of Fremont near the Fremont Middle School.  If you are coming from out of town, take the Military Avenue exit from the new Hwy 275 bypass and travel a few blocks west, you’ll see First Lutheran Church.  (click here to view map

Entrance:  Our building has three primary entrances in use, with the main entrance being located by the fountain and drop-off drive.  The office suite is located on the southwest corner, and the fellowship hall can be entered from the west.  Restrooms are located in the south hallway between the main entrance and the office suite.

Welcome Center:  Through the main entrance you’ll see a desk where volunteers will be happy to welcome you on Sunday mornings and introduce you to others.  Please pick up a “Welcome Bag,” stop for a cup of coffee, and visit the nearby Ministry Center to see information about current activities in which First Lutheran members are involved.

Sanctuary:  As we grow into our new building, we are currently worshipping in a multi-purpose room which you will see on your right as you walk into the building toward the Welcome Center.   Someday a new sanctuary will also be built.  Our worship times change seasonally, so please check the “Worship Services” for our latest schedule.  We hope you will join us, and pray that you will find a renewed sense of hope and life in the crucified and risen Lord Jesus Christ by doing so!

Children on Sundays:  We encourage families to worship together, and welcome all ages into our sanctuary.  There is often a special “Children’s Time” (with treats!) during worship to help with their focus and involvement.  Children are welcome at the communion table, to receive the elements if they have been prepared to do so or to receive an individual blessing.  “Quiet Bags” are also ready for you to pick up at the entrances by the welcome center, as well as Children’s Worship Bulletins for ages 3-6.  Qualified nursery care for infants to 3 years old is available during the worship hours if needed for restless little ones.  The nursery is located off the south hallway between the main entrance and the office suite.   During the school year, we offer one Sunday School hour for ages 3 through Grade 8 at 9:30 a.m.

Sunday Study for All:  Our First Lutheran Youth offer a forum experience at 9:30 each week that the Sunday School is in session, and Bible or topical/book studies are planned for adults at 9:30 and 10:45.  Please check our Weekly Announcements for the current features.  Drop in and join us to learn more about the faith we share and be challenged in your discipleship.

Please call the church if you have any questions:  402-721-2959.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
