First Lutheran Church in Fremont, Nebraska

SPOUDAZO is a music and drama ministry of First Lutheran church for High School youth of FLC and the community. Spoudazo is a Greek word meaning, "with energy". The 9th-12th grade youth involved in this ministry have energy and enthusiasm for the sharing of the Gospel. Beginning in May, Spoudazo meets weekly for rehearsals, Bible Study and prayer. In July, Spoudazo takes their original musical production on tour. Many Spoudazo participants are youth from First Lutheran Church, but it is also an ecumenical group involving youth from several Fremont-area congregations. In total the group has involved around 85 participants representing nearly 20 churches in the greater Fremont area.

SPOUDAZO 2009

SPOUDAZO 2009 is a group of 65 wonderful teens who are excited about sharing their faith with you through a meaningful music and drama ministry. This ministry is sponsored by First Lutheran Church in Fremont, Nebraska. However, it is ecumenical in nature, drawing these young people from numerous churches in the Fremont area. This is SPOUDAZO’S sixteenth year of music and drama ministry, which God has blessed beyond measure. The tours of years past have taken SPOUDAZO’S ministry from Denver to Chicago and from Duluth to San Antonio. The group has been graciously hosted by a great many churches, and warmly embraced by congregations in every tour location.

The 65 performing youth of SPOUDAZO are accompanied by a dedicated group of 10 college leaders, and 8 adult leaders. Rehearsals begin May 21st and are held every Tuesday and Friday. They consist of intense practice time along with small group fellowship and Bible study.

This year’s Spoudazo production is “All Yours” and has been compiled by Melody Walden and Kevin Wagner.
We will focus on our belief that everything in heaven and earth belongs to the Lord. The music includes
contemporary Christian songs from Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman, Stellar Kart, Leeland and Casting
Crowns. Situational drama is interspersed throughout the production with scenes such as "Are You Smarter
Than A Sunday Schooler". Our aim is to share our blessings at each host location with the local Kids Against
Hunger affiliate.
