First Lutheran Church Mission

First Lutheran is committed to providing a meal to Care Corps, Inc., Fremont's shelter for the homeless, on the third Tuesday of every month. All First Lutheran groups and families are encouraged to participate in this food ministry to the homeless in our community.

Construction of Kindergarten in Mowo Lutheran Parish, Tanzania - On Saturday, November 8, 2003, a very special auction was held at First Lutheran Church.  Members of First Lutheran as well as parents and friends of First Lutheran Preschool donated their time, talents and treasures to benefit the Kindergarten in Mowo, Tanzania and First Lutheran Preschool in the new facility.  Encouraged by auctioneer Scott Bang, those present raised over $12,000.00 for the children of Fremont and Mowo. The song of the auctioneer was punctuated by laughter as good spirits united in fun for these projects.

Sudanese Resettlement and Support - First Lutheran is helping the Sudanese in Fremont to form a Community in order to help them in their task of integration into Fremont.

Holiday food boxes for Low Income Ministry - Each year our Congregational Social Ministry Committee asks for help filling Christmas food basked distributed to those in need in the Fremont area through Low Income Ministry.
